Susan Schwartz, L.Ac., Dipl.Ac. (California State Licensed and Nationally Credentialed Diplomat of Acupuncture) has over 30 years of clinical experience and has been licensed to practice Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine in California since 1988.

I am a graduate of the San Francisco College of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine, and studied in the People’s Republic of China at the Nan Jing College of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

My acupuncture practice focuses on gently balancing the body, mind and spirit. I am committed to taking time to listen to your health concerns and objectives.

Acupuncture treatments promote your body to engage its natural healing wisdom by helping to smooth the flow of Qi and Blood, to support immune function, enhance energy and mental clarity, harmonize emotions, reduce inflammation, treat pain, increase relaxation, and so much more. When the body is in a more balanced state, it is capable of preventing future imbalances and diseases.

I will evaluate your symptoms utilizing Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) diagnostics which include inquiry, pulse and tongue reading, palpation, and observation. I will create a personalized, comprehensive treatment plan which may include the following: acupressure; the sensitive insertion of fine, pre-sterilized, disposable acupuncture needles; moxibustion; cupping; and the prescription of herbs and/or supplements.

To further the positive outcome of my acupuncture treatments, I provide guidance on nutrition, diet and mindfulness practice as well as movement, exercise, Qigong, breath work and more.
